Online Violin Lessons – Beginner Strokes for Violin

online violin lessons

This video is part of a series of online violin lessons. In it you’ll learn basic strokes that violinists often use. They are: stacatto, full strokes and tremolo. Stacatto is a short, single-note style of playing that is often used in dramatic classical music pieces. Full strokes are often used in movements and musical pieces in conjunction with a full orchestra, and the sound is what one commonly thinks of as violin music. Tremolo (as the name suggests) is a a very rapid “tremor” of the music note. Each of these strokes requires a slightly different playing posture. Check back often for the next violin lessons that will be posted soon.
